The process

How The Corporate Awards Works

Research-led recognition, scored against published criteria and reviewed by our Board — from expression of interest to the gala stage.

Eligibility

Any organisation operating in one of our programme countries — Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Gabon, Senegal, South Africa or the United Kingdom — employing more than 50 people and in continuous operation for at least three years is eligible to take part across most categories. Sector-specific categories may carry additional criteria; each edition publishes its own category set.

From first contact to the stage

Six steps · four phases · one night

  1. 1Enter

By expression of interest, or by invitation.

    • 1Express interest or receive an invitation

Organisations either register their interest with us directly, or respond to an invitation to take part in a given edition.

    • 2Receive participation guidelines

Validate the consent form, complete the research questionnaires for your selected categories, schedule interviews, and submit policy justifications where applicable.

  2. 2Assess

Evidence gathered with you, then scored independently.

    • 3Assign key personnel

You nominate the people who will work with The Corporate Awards research team through data collection.

    • 4Research and evaluation

Research findings are assessed using a standardised scoring system, and the results are reviewed by the Board of Directors.

  3. 3Celebrate

Winners are announced on the night, in front of the room.

    • 5Awards ceremony

Winners are announced and celebrated during the gala event.

  4. 4Continue

The evaluation is the start of the work, not the end of it.

    • 6Post-awards consulting

An option to work with partner consulting firms on workforce development, ESG, and sustainability reporting improvements.

Cost to participate

Taking part is free. Winners receive a physical award, a digital badge for their website and social channels, and a profile on thecorporateawards.org.

Entry is by expression of interest or invitation — there is no public vote, and no fee to be evaluated.
